Fixed assets are also known as Infrastructure Assets, which can include road signs, bridges, tunnels, water and sewer systems, dams and lighting systems, land, buildings, equipment and machinery. You would see that in calculating earnings per share also we take weighted average of outstanding shares. But the basic difference between the dividends per share and earnings per share is what we put in the numerator.

Think of 'cash flow' as a picture of your business checking account. If more money is coming in than is going out, you are in a "positive cash flow" situation and you have enough to pay your bills. If more cash is going out than coming in, you are in danger of being overdrawn, and you will need to find money to cover your overdrafts. This is why new businesses typically need working capital, in the form of a loan or line of credit, to cover shortages in cash flow.

As FCF increases, balance sheet strength and health rises; however, it is important to note that negative FCF is not a bad indicator. If FCF is negative, it could be a sign a company is making significant investments. If these investments earn high returns, the strategy has the potential to add value in the long run.
